Blackthorn is found throughout Ireland and the British Isles, and has been prized for centuries as a material for making top-quality walking sticks. The best-known incarnation of the classic blackthorn walking stick is the Irish Shillelagh, a tool so formidable in skilled hands that the English banned it! To get round this law, the Irish modified the Shillelagh to make the classic cane we know today. Cold Steel's modern interpretation of this magnificent historic walking stick is made from high-impact polypropylene. It's incredibly durable and easy to clean with a little soap and water.
