Rubber ball Shotguns

Rubber ball shotguns are designed to fire hard rubber balls to neutralise a potential attacker. You can also fire neutralising pepper balls, or mixed steel and plastic projectiles (depending on the model).

Extreme situations call for the use of effective defensive projectile weapons to deter or neutralise potential attackers. More cumbersome than defensive pistols, these projectile shotgun weapons are designed primarily for self-defence in the home. Should there be a hostile intruder on your property, the use of a defence shotgun will enable you to defend yourself effectively.

For your home defence needs, we offer a diverse selection of shotguns, which include both pump-action and automatic models.

Projectile defence shotguns, effective projectile weapons for self-defence

One of the best-known brands of projectile weapons is Gomm-Cogne®. This brand focuses on producing weapons designed for self-defence purposes. Thanks to its outstanding expertise, the Gomm-Cogne® brand has become the go-to choice for purchasing defensive pistols and shotguns in the industry.

Many brands have been inspired by this expertise, to the point where in France, the term "Gomme Cogne" is now used to refer to all defence shotguns that share the characteristics of a Gomm-Cogne® brand shotgun. The Umarex brand is the best known. It is particularly renowned for the quality of its T4E home defence shotgun.

When it comes to self-defence, projectile defence shotguns outperform defence pistols as effective weapons. First and foremost, these shotguns are more powerful, with some models capable of firing up to 40 joules. Up to 20 joules, projectile defence shotguns fall into category D. Once they exceed this threshold, they fall into category C and must therefore be declared to the prefecture to be bought and held.

Defence shotguns are also more impressive than defence pistols because of their size and appearance. A defensive weapon such as a projectile shotgun will be a powerful deterrent to any attacker.

The different models of defence shotguns available from Wicked Store

Most of the defence shotguns we offer are designed by Umarex. These are non-lethal defensive weapons that project hard rubber pellets using a propulsion system powered by CO2 capsules. However, you can also fire neutralising pepper balls or mixed steel and plastic projectiles, depending on the model you choose.

Although they are very powerful, most of the defence shotguns in our range, such as the HDB68 or HDS68, are available over the counter. These are category D weapons that can be held freely. To acquire them, you simply need to confirm that you are of legal age by showing proof of identity.

Additionally, we have models available for sale and possession that require a declaration to the prefecture. This is the case for the 40-joule version of the HDX68 T4E model from Umarex, which falls into category C. It's worth noting that there is also a 16-joule version of this model, falling under category D, which means it can be freely held without the need for prior declaration.

Whichever model you choose from our website, remember that the number of joules shown is calculated in relation to a standard projectile (a light rubber ball). If you use a heavier ball, the power of your defence shotgun will increase and its joules will be higher. Don't forget to take this factor into consideration when deciding on a self-defence weapon, as it will affect how you can use it.
