FN HERSTAL M4A1 GBB Black 6mm BB 1.2J

The M4 is a military assault rifle manufactured in the USA.

It is based on the XM177 and XM177E2 rifles first used by Special Operations Groups (SOG) and LRRP units during the Vietnam War. Both versions were also used by US Army and Air Force units, and by US Navy SEALs during the same period.

The first Colt M4 entered service with US Special Forces units in 1994, and now partially replaces the M16, from which it was derived, in all US combat units.

This compact weapon is ideally suited to motorized and special units. It enables them to gain in mobility and maneuverability, two features that are a priority when it comes to range.

The M4 can be likened to an M16, with a 4-position telescopic stock, improved flame arrestor, barrel, handguard, shortened gas borrowing mechanism and automatic burst firing. 

The breech block, rear sight and magazines are all M16 components.
